It had all the makings of a juicy internet story: Carmelo Anthony tweeting that he’d offer $5,000 to anyone who’d “slap the shit” out of professional groupie Kat Stacks, who apparently talked smack to Anthony and his wife, LaLa Vazquez.
The operative word there, though, is “had,” since Anthony later said he got hacked. Stacks debated the veracity of this, but it’s worth considering the source, who in this case says things like this. We’ll side with Carmelo on this one unless we see something REALLY compelling to suggest otherwise. No, Kat, this doesn’t count.
